seafood extravaganza over, man that was good.
beerorkid | June 2, 2008I like to make meals that we both can enjoy. Theresa cares not for any seafood so I grubbed down for 5 days. I asked about what to do with the shark and picked up some swordfish. The shark turned on me so I did not get to try it. I wanted something light and flaky. The guy at midwest seafood said swordfish. I kinda doubted him but bought some any way. Found out the grill was out of propane so the cast iron got the job. It was really good. It was light and flaky too.
Wanted to try something different with the big shrimp I picked up. Made some bread crumbs by toasting some bread and added coconut. It was pretty good. The sweetness went nicely.

Fellow fish fanatic here. That looks like some kick-ass seafood
Mr. T | June 2, 2008Fellow fish fanatic here. That looks like some kick-ass seafood there! Do you know does the Midwest guy bring in stuff from the Chesapeake Bay? Its soft shell crab season out there and I would love to get some, lightly floured and seasoned, and pan fried in olive oil and butter.
I've only ever tried coconut shrimp at Red Lobster and
Sarah | June 2, 2008I’ve only ever tried coconut shrimp at Red Lobster and thought they tasted like a shrimp doughnut. I bet yours were better.

He had some crab in the lobster tank, but it did not look like a softshell. Still looked at me all longing though
Sarah, because I ground the Le Quartier bread so much only a bit of the coconut actually stuck. It was the perfect balance actually. Just enough sweetness. I know what you mean by the donught taste.
Plus I do not do dipping sauces. Most sauces for coconut shrimp are gonna be sweet guaranteed.
The slight black pepper burn evened it out nicely.
Speaking of Le Quartier....how much are the pizza crusts there?
Mr. T | June 4, 2008Speaking of Le Quartier….how much are the pizza crusts there? How many do you get and for how much?
Your shrimp does look tasty. Having spent a lot of time out in Maryland in an earlier life, I still like to steam the shrimp and rock it with some Old Bay seasoning.
you get 3 crusts for I think $3.75

I just picked up a 3 pack at Open Harvest
Mr. T | June 7, 2008I just picked up a 3 pack at Open Harvest and it was $4.99. Sucks they jack up the price that much. But Open Harvest is soo much closer for me than LQ.
You know thinking about it I bet that is the
