A youtube user Gil, asked me to do a full breakfast vid after watching the hash brown one. It took me a few weeks, but it is done. Was 11 minutes long so I split it into two parts.

Thanks for the suggestion Gil.

Thanks to lfirebrand over on SCS for reminding me of this killer mac and cheese recipe. We watched the episode where Autumn Clements makes this.

I did not boil the pasta in beer since I always use at least a gallon of water to boil pasta, but damn this was so fricking rich I doubt it would of made much of a difference.

I asked here and over on the forum. My main question was how will I thicken it. It simmered for 7 hours and thickened up just fine on its own. It was rather pork flavored and made a fine meal.

We have made a bunch of food at home. It started with hamburger helper and other prepared crap. Well we have evolved and we can make our own hamburger helper. We have made this a few times, but I have never captured the steps. It is more of a casserole the way we make it. We get three meals out of this and it rules. It is nothing more than an adaptation of our mac and cheese.

My fav meal baked mac and cheese

Yeah yeah I have posted about it multiple times. But this one has pics of all the steps.

As usual I got the recipe and idea from Alton Brown on Good eats. Although we modify it a bunch to suit our taste.

pig candy

I have read about this and needed to give it a try. Made some last night (thats where the pics come from) using some thick peppered bacon. I did not follow the directions close enough and it was meh…. It was good but the bacon was not done enough.

So this morning T’s dad got me some bacon from the farmers market and I decided to try again. I followed the recipe much better, I actually flipped the bacon and added more coating. After it cooled it was pure heaven. The cayenne pepper added a bite, I also added some black pepper. It truly tastes like bacon candy and is delicious. I cut the first batch into bite size pieces and am working on the second batch right now. Gonna bring it over to my brothers party tonight for some others to experience.

octoberfest mac n cheese bacon bombs

Goose island octoberfest aint 1/2 bad. First time we tried baked mac n cheese, not too shabby. bacon bombs was an idea from bacontarian. I changed it up a bit. Chicken wrapped with bacon and Misty’s seasoning sprinkled throughout.
