<p>I sent her a pic of these awesome cake ball cones as a challenge. She accepted. She used google pic search to find <a href="http://sugarswings.blogspot.com/2011/08/rainbow-ice-cream-cone-cake-bites.html" target="_blank">the recipe</a>. They used fluff to stick the crumbs together. Prob is fluff has so little flavor. They were mediocre at best, but looked great. It was a fun project though.</p>
<p>The fluff just added no flavor to the balls. The Bark is meh as well. They looked cool, but eating one was not something one would do on purpose. They looked cool as hell though.</p>

<p>Well it took me <a href="http://www.beerorkid.com/2011/07/26/by-weeks-end-i-shall-make-these/">more than a week</a>, but we finally made some cheddar bay biscuits. Instead of the recipe in the cartoon, <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Recipes/top-secret-restaurant-recipes-red-lobsters-cheddar-biscuits/story?id=2788706" target="_blank">I went with this one</a>. It uses milk instead of water, and you mix in butter to the mix before cooking. I used a shredder and some frozen butter. I also put granulated garlic in the mix plus parsley.</p>
<p>They were amazing. All the good stuff hid that bisquick flavor. Super easy to make as well. </p>

<p>Watched the most recent episode of Good Eats and at the end the <a href="http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/chicken-biscuit-pot-pie-recipe/index.html">Chicken Biscuit Pot Pie</a> Alton made looked delicious. After the show was over and we looked at each other and communicated via brain talk that we would be eating that. Headed to our new secret Russeses and got some supplies. They did not have chicken sausage, but they had turkey and I grabbed it. I asked an older gentleman if vitamin A milk is whole milk, he thought it prob was, but prarieland sold whole milk so I was good. Then I spoke with 3 older ladies about aluminum free baking powder, none of them knew what it was and Russeses did not have it. Seems some folkk do not like the aluminum being in there for safety reasons, but it does not make a difference while baking.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/5564551996/" title="IMG_7681 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5265/5564551996_c6621f86c8.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7681" /></a></p>
<p>We had roasted a chicken the day before and the recipe was pretty simple. Sage cost a lot, but I think it helped or something. We did not use the thyme. We are just not fans of thyme.</p>
<p><a id="more-477"></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/5564553592/" title="IMG_7682 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5251/5564553592_ae03529420.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7682" /></a></p>
<p>We only used 1/2 of the pound of the turkey sausage.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/5564554656/" title="IMG_7683 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5229/5564554656_4c89267175.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7683" /></a></p>
<p>When we added the liquid I started getting scared. It seemed like there was way too much liquid, but kept going.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/5563979717/" title="IMG_7684 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5012/5563979717_e7e1ac1783.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7684" /></a></p>
<p>After the chicken was in there and it was pretty thick I was feeling confident.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/5563981199/" title="IMG_7685 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5132/5563981199_9d65a7de36.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7685" /></a></p>
<p>Shredding frozen butter is just odd.</p>
<p>It came out so good. Oh man. It was enough to feed 6 people, but it was amazing. We liked it so much we decided we need to work it into our meal rotation. We do not need to make such a huge amount of it though. We also figure we do not need to bake the biscuits in the pan of goop. Tonight we will be making the biscuits again, but on their own in the oven, with a bit of granulated garlic added to the mix, and coated with some butter.</p>

The all edge brownie pans are pricey and we have the cheap one they sell on TV, and it sucks really bad. These pans were cheap and seemed like they would work well. Theresa makes some insanely awesome brownies and we tested the pans out last night. She used a disher to measure and some got 2 scoops and the others got 3. They came out amazing. it is like an all edge brownie. The rim of the cup was almost like a cookie and was firm. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4865296940/" title="IMG_6523 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4865296940_d2989496f3.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6523" /></a></p>
<p>below is the recipe and procedure.</p>
<p><a id="more-411"></a></p>
<blockquote><p>Brownies</p>
<p>3/4 cup sugar<br />
1/2 cup butter<br />
2 tablespoon water<br />
10-12 oz chocolate chips<br />
2 large eggs<br />
2 teaspoon vanilla extract<br />
1 cup flour<br />
1/4 teaspoon baking soda<br />
1/4 teaspoon salt<br />
1/2 cup chopped nuts ( optional )</p>
<p>Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a cake pan.<br />
In a sauce pan heat sugar, butter and water over medium heat until it just comes to a boil. Remove from heat and mix in chocolate chips until melted. Add eggs one at a time until blended. Add flour, baking soda and salt stir until mixed. Add vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 18 to 20 min or until toothpick inserted 1 inch from edge comes out slightly dirty.</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4865127698/" title="IMG_6485 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4080/4865127698_230bfdb5fb.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6485" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4864525813/" title="IMG_6495 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4140/4864525813_11cdc587b9.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6495" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4865152868/" title="IMG_6504 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/4865152868_73eba1511b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6504" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4865159886/" title="IMG_6509 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4081/4865159886_d3043e813c.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6509" /></a></p>
<p>Shoot the cap gun as a warning to the brownies to taste good<br />
*sniffs smoke*</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/beerorkid/4864572879/" title="IMG_6513 by beerorkid, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4122/4864572879_ba3079aed1.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_6513" /></a></p>
<p>If for some reason you do not buy the awesome brownie cup pans, yo can line your pan with parchment paper and lift it out of the pan with a friend to cool on the rack and make cutting them up really easy.</p>

<p>For a while now I can get Theresa to go up to Omaha easy as long as we visit <a href="http://cupcakeisland.com/">cupcake island</a>. It seems that might come to an end soon because she has started making some awesome cuppycakes. I lost a bet with Theresa&#8217;s parents over is Monk would find out who killed Trudy. (curses) So I had to make them dinner. We had from scratch fried ravioli with dipping sauce Theresa made, steak au poivre, Theresa&#8217;s killer risotto, NE sweet corn, some home made bread, and Boston creme and strawberry shortcake cuppycakes.</p>
<p>As usual with most things we make the cupcakes were from scratch. She used Alton Brown&#8217;s <a href="http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/good-eats/chiffon-cupcakes-recipe/index.html">Chiffon Cupcake recipe</a> for both. The boston creme ones had <a href="http://www.joyofbaking.com/PastryCream.html">vanilla pastry cream</a> piped inside the core, <a href="http://www.joyofbaking.com/ganache.html">chocolate ganache</a> coating, and some whipped cream on top. I picked up some strawberry preserves for the filling in the shortcake ones. Oh man were they good.</p>

<p>Saw this over on <a href="http://www.seriouseats.com/2009/03/mixed-review-miss-muffets-chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-cupcakes.html">Serious Eats</a>, cupcakes with a choc chip cookie inside. Sent the link to Theresa and she took it as a dare. Theresa did not need any bought mix, she has perfected her soft and chewy cookies and makes a mean <a href="http://www.memakefood.com/2008/05/10/first-cupcakes-a-success/">cuppycake</a>. She did a couple at a time to see what happens. First ones were a bit too much cookie, but by the end the ratio was good. She is going to try a bit of a drier cookie dough next time. The cookie part was very fluffy, and she is looking for firmer. Oh and next time she is going to make PB cookies in choc cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Nom</p>
